Some More Great Points to Savor and Expound

I love this piece from Alberto Garcia. Garcia does well laying out a few signs people can look for hope and promise that good times are coming after a storm. Of the four pieces of advice, I would rate these two the highest:

— Serendipities start to fall into place all around you.

—You start to believe again.

How much we all love those times in life where there can be sunshine after a huge storm, just like the song goes: “I can see clearly now the rain has gone.”

Sadly, life does not always flow in this pattern of storms then sunshine then storms then sunshine again. Patterns of life events, human experiences and perceptions, mental, emotional and spiritual moods, and general dispositions often may prove more unpredictable. There are many phrases that go as follows to signify a different pattern:

“When it rains it pours.”

“I never expected the storm to last for this long.”

“I’ve been in dark for far too long.”

What can you do if life keeps throwing one dark storm after another? This can be tough, especially if events and experiences condition one to start expecting bad or negative things. What if it feels like every small bit of sunshine or quiet day is the calm before the storm?

Well, there is the cliche saying “life is about learning to dance in the rain.” However, like so many other phrases, it consistently rings true with new meaning and insight. If you are able to learn to see the silver lining in the clouds or seek renewal, wisdom, and peace of mind in life’s lowest moments, then you can build resilience and inner strength to harness in any storm. And the clouds, storms, and darkest nights are always just part of the reality — the moon and sun never fail to shine behind the heaviest of clouds.
