It just never ceases to amaze me. Medium writers and publications continue to pump out some of the greatest gems you can find in terms of deeper insights and the greatest of spiritual wisdom. As I surf through some major articles this week, here are some of the most profound, wonderful quotes that caught my eye. These are excerpts of just of few available articles on Medium, which is itself just one of numerous platforms out in cyberspace and social media that offer some of the greatest works humans are producing today.

Here We Go

This wonderful article from Medium and Quora superstar Sean Kernan offers an amazing insight about navigating the tough and harsh patches of life:

I’ve learned that it’s best to approach life like a high-level skier.

Think about it: When he is going down a difficult mogul slope, he isn’t just flying straight down the mountain. That would end with him being helicoptered to a hospital.

We have to maneuver to the right, left, or directly through many of life’s tough challenges like the high-level skier in order to grow, learn, and continue forward.

And here we read between the lines of an illuminating article by inspirational writer Robert Roy Britt to gather a compelling insight(among countless others the article offers).

In a nutshell, we adapt to amazing and wonderful things, so that they become mundane, expected.

Really? How mesmerizing is this? A common and sagacious adage is that we must often work to harvest bountiful crops from manure in order to find lasting fulfillment and meaning in life. But what if we are so focused on some long lost buried treasure that we miss the gold coins already lying at our feet? Each second of life, infinite riches are unfolding all around us if we just re-train ourselves to savor them.

And from this inspirational article by bestselling writer Ryan Holiday:

At birth, each of us is original. Our DNA has never existed before on this planet. No one will ever have our unique set of experiences. No one will ever have our totally unique point of view.

There has never been anyone like us…and there never will be again. We have been given a complete and total monopoly over the business of being us.

Like the other quotes, I do not know of anything else I can add to this. These are such profound, wondrous spiritual, existential, and moral truths we all can so easily lose sight of. How easy also to lose sight of the truth that each of us has infinite worth and beauty that we can share with others and the world to then receive so much more back in return.

And finally, we have a quote from leading writer and spiritual savant David’s amazing article:

In all of these situations, we simply do our best to relax, stay calm, lean away and watch the feeling that has arisen. Don’t jump in and tangle with the feeling. That’s akin to fighting with the ego. Just relax, lean away, watch and let it go.

This perennial and forever pressing wisdom could not be more vital in this day and age, could it? While covid still looms and humanity faces some of its greater challenges ever, countless also seem to be experiencing profound existential and spiritual angst. Our egos seem to run rampant as we fight to preserve our self-interests and images. Just focus on your deeper self standing firm behind all of the chaos of emotions, thoughts, and images so easily coming forth.

Some Sort of Conclusion

And while I could go on with more awe-inspiring quotes from numerous other articles old and new, perhaps this is a good stopping point. It is so amazing for countless to get out there and produce new, profound content — whether in written word or countless other forms. But equally wondrous is savoring the gems from others’ produced works and working to draw attention to them. The four pieces I’ve excerpted from above themselves offer countless more riches to be explored. I hope you take great lengths to enjoy them and many others old and new on this great platform and also work to offer your own new pieces as well.
