My First Attempt At a Piece With Just 100 Words(Title Included)

I felt sweat forming on my forehead. What a daunting task! How does anyone pull back the curtains to reveal any world, fictional or non-fictional, in just 100 words?

I pondered how many words it would take to lay the background for the plot, setting, and characters. How would this piece not end up like a nursery rhyme?

The completion of this project seemed an exceptional challenge. But to paraphrase Shakespeare:
