499 Followers on Medium — Oh My!!
I am just one under 500 followers!
How amazing is that? Oh wonderful! Thank you to the hundreds of people who decided to follow me or who followed me back(I follow over 1100 Medium writers and publications). I have enjoyed such a wonderful journey with this platform, and I am just beginning.
I have not found my email sharing the coveted close-to-500 follower prize yet. Nor have I heard any horns blasting in a celebratory parade. However, I have found numerous insights to be illuminated further upon reaching such a milestone.
- ) Medium is such a unique platform among other social media and internet greats. Following users, engaging with their amazing content, and constantly revisiting their pages are all positive behaviors that reap immeasurable benefits. Try interacting too much with someone’s content on Facebook or Twitter and you might regret it.
- ) Medium offers some the best writing anywhere online(or in print). It would take years for one person to peruse just a small fraction of Medium’s numerous amazing works, and the publications numbering in the thousands are some of the best around.
- ) Medium challenges writers in numerous areas. In order to grow an audience and following you must write regularly, do the work of reading and interacting with other writers, and continue crafting your writing skill.
- Medium has made a permanent name for itself over the years — much like numerous other internet platforms. Many changes have taken place on the platform, but it isn’t going anywhere.
- What an amazing platform this is to connect with other readers and writers, forge friendships, and have numerous opportunities to enrich countless people with your words and reading eye!
I can’t contain my excitement about reaching this great milestone. It started out with just a few followers, then a few dozen, and now a few hundred! Thank you everyone who has followed me and interacted with my content here. And thank you most of all to the countless other great writers on this platform with so much more talent and finesse than I have. You have been an inspiration for me!
